Aslan's Place Special Forces is the youth ministry of Aslan's Place Ministry.
Our goal is to help youth establish a biblical foundation for their faith while at the same time helping them enter into the full calling and giftings that God has for their lives.
About Our Staff
Brian Cox
Brian, together with his wife Janelle, and his two children, Julianne and Christopher live in Hesperia, CA. He has been working with youth since he interned as a youth pastor at a Baptist church in Southern California. He owned and operated a computer service company for 17 years. He currently serves as director of youth ministries for Aslan’s Place Special Forces, and has held that position since the youth ministry’s inception in October of 2007. He also serves as a prayer minister with Aslan’s Place. Brian is also a Paid Call Firefighter with San Bernardino County.
Melissa Waldrum
Melissa Waldrum has been an integral part of Aslan’s Place Special Forces since it began in October of 2007. Melissa was an administrator of transitional housing for single moms for just under a year. She also ran a thrift store for three years. Melissa currently acts as a youth leader in our junior high / high school group. She also hosts young adults in transitional situations at her home in Hesperia, CA.
Becky Minderman
Becky has 25 years of experience in children’s ministry behind her, and she uses many different creative methods to draw the children into an attitude of excitement for their individual relationship with God. She joins many other leaders in the spiritual mothering and fathering process of this young, kindergarten to 6th grade generation in order to equip and prepare them to be effective in our world. She has a gentle way about her which pulls the kids into their godly positions and reveals their individual strengths and gifts from the Heavenly Father, enabling them to truly take up their position in His Army. |
